The host’s front-man took 12 seconds to notch his 20th of the season, firing a deflected effort beyond United keeper Jack Steggles.
However, the visitors were level after 19 minutes thanks to Max Baker’s powerful header. Brighouse restored their lead 14 minutes from time when Sorhaindo sent Steggles the wrong way from the spot.
