■ SUTTON Coldfield edged closer to safety with a vital win courtesy of goals from Jack Burgess and Reece Gibson.
The early exchanges were going Sutton’s way with Curvin Ellis twice putting the ball just wide in the opening five minutes.
The first half was a scrappy affair with both sides picking up bookings and neither team troubling the opposing keeper.
In the 61st minute Sutton made the breakthrough thanks to Burgess who picked up a clearance from a corner and his shot dipped under the bar.
