CANVEY Island’s title aspirations took a potentially fatal blow, losing at home to in-form Maldon & Tiptree.
In claiming the win, the Jammers moved within three points of the play-off places with a game in hand.
The hosts took the lead after only 15 seconds. Bradley Sach laid the ball off for Harrison Chatting and his chip over the Jammers’ defence found the run of Evans Kouassi to net his 26th goal.
