■ ASHFORD United re-turned to winning ways with victory at VCD Athletic.
The game was marred by an injury to Ashford full-back Tariq Ossai, who had to be stretchered off with a suspected fracture to his leg.
But his replacement, Luke Burdon, was able to force home the opener in the 36th minute, poking in Mo Kamara’s wonderful cross.
VCD were level on the stroke of half-time as Youssef Bamba fired into the bottom left corner from 25 yards. Kevin Lisbie then struck a post and seconds later forced a terrific reaction save from Jordan Carey.
