■ WITH Shildon safely in the play-offs, only a win for Frickley would have given them any chance of avoiding relegation and the eventual draw wasn’t enough.
Brothers Brad and Kieran Wells both went close for Frickley, but it was Shildon who drew first blood in the 28th minute when Dean Thexton netted from a narrow angle.
The visitors piled on the pressure after the break, but went two down as Nathan Whitehead headed into his own net in the 66th minute.
