Programmes are not just bits of paper

AS SOMEONE who sells matchday programmes, I was interested in the article concerning digital programmes (NLP, June 12).
I can see the attraction, as there is not much money (if any) to be made from hard copies, despite the effort required to produce them. I think that is because most programmes are quite bland, with some club news and sponsors’ adverts. There is not a lot of interesting items to persuade fans to buy them. Most fans buy them out of habit, or because they collect them.
I would hate to see them all go digital as it’s a bit of a tradi...
