CHESTERFIELD were comfortable winners of the inaugural Ernie Moss Challenge Cup, played in memory of the Spireites legend and record scorer who was also a successful former Matlock manager before his death a year ago.
A bumper 2,300 crowd saw a tightly contested first half but the visitors were superior after the break, sensibly keeping possession and creating the better opportunities.
