Styche off as Church motor

THREE second-half goals steered Alvechurch to an opening day victory against a Stourbridge side who had striker Reece Styche sent off just before the interval.
But the result was marred by an horrific collision between Church defender Harry Williams and teammate Jack Hallahan, which resulted in them both being taken to hospital and the game being held up for nearly an hour.
Both sides squandered first half chances with Styche skying an early effort for the Glassboys and Jed Abbey having a shot blocked at the other end.
