DETERMINED Atherton Collieries came from a goal down to record an opening day victory at Broadhurst Park on Saturday.
The match started brightly for the home side, with FC United opening the scoring following some great tenacity from Michael Donohue who left both keeper and defender stranded, allowing forward Max McCarthy to side foot the ball into an empty goal.
