A HAT-TRICK from Joe Lumsden and a debut goal for Gavin Allott saw Pontefract hammer Grimsby on their first game in the NPL.
A fast start for the Colls saw them 2-0 up in 11 first-half minutes, Lumsden tapped in from close range before Allott converted a saved Lumsden shot to make it two.
Lumsden’s second found it’s way into the far corner and a second goal. After the break, Grimsby were reduced to ten men thanks to a second yellow for Jordan Barnett. With seven minutes of normal time left Lumsden scored his third. A dancing run and cross...
