RAMSBOTTOM struggled from the start to keep pace with newly-promoted and expensively-assembled Hanley Town, boasting several players in their ranks with experience of having played at Football League level.
The difference in class showed as early as the fourth minute with James Lawrie opening the visitors’ account. Impressive midfield dynamo Chris Dagnall w as on hand to put the fin- ishing touch to an excellent passing move, making it 2-0 just before half-time.
