HITCHIN TOWN were held to a second successive goalless draw at Top Field in a game where the best chances came in an entertaining first half.
Basford began impressively with three decent chances in the opening five minutes, with Anthony Dwyer squandering the best of these.
Hitchin responded well with Stan Georgiou’s shot going just wide from a Jack Morrell cross.
Morrell followed up with another effort, just off target, and his later long range effort brought a corner. Greg Smith, who had proved a problem to the Hitchin defence...
