Tony Thompson may have turned his back on the opportunity to play full-time football – but hasn’t ruled out making a return to the top-flight.
The 27-year-old is back in the Northern Premier League with Mark Beesley’s Warrington Town after five seasons spent at National League side Altrincham.
The Robins went full-time this year, forcing Thompson into making a career decision. Away from football, he is a scaffolder and is currently working on Everton’s new Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium.
