Hasler breaks Bracken spirit

HASTINGS maintained their recent momentum and moved to the edge of the play-off places with this narrow win over Surrey visitors Carshalton.
But they needed a wondrous second-half freekick from Sam Hasler to overcome a Robins side which played all but seven minutes of the second half with ten men after Tom Beere’s second yellow card of the game.
Despite a spritely start from both sides, neither goalkeeper was troubled in the first quarter.
