■ BISHOP’S Stortford were frustrated by struggling stalemate specialists Wingate and Finchley.
A win would have taken the Blues top. But they were held by a winless Gate side with six draws in nine league games.
Blues striker Frankie Merrifield went closest in the first half when he side-footed Ollie Peters’ low cross narrowly wide.
