■ROVERS picked up their first home point of the season in a dour game.
Southall took the lead after nine minutes when Kevin Songolo was harshly adjudged to have handled in the area. Louis Stead sent Dan Purdue the wrong way. Rovers responded positively, but efforts from Javin Dougan and Tony Halsey failed to trouble the keeper.
The home side levelled ten minutes from the break. Courtney Swaby and Jephte Tanga linked well on the right and from the cross Songolo went down in the area. Shawn Lyle converted the spot-kick.
