■ GOALS from Sam Bantick and Anointed Chukwu secured victory for Grays as Thurrock’s oldest clubs went toe-to-toe at Chadfields.
Grays broke the deadlock after 28 minutes through Bantick who emphatically fired home from close range.
The men in blue doubled their lead just eight minutes later, as Chukwu followed in after Aron Gordon’s shot was saved by the goalkeeper.
Tilbury had a chance to pull one back just before half-time when Lewis Jaggs’ cross found Damian Siemienczuk at the back post, but his headed effort was saved...
