■ Some controversial refereeing decisions contributed to Dereham’s downfall.
The visitors went ahead in the 35th minute when defender Ryan Moore set up Khaelem Bailey-Nichols to net from close range.
Dereham responded with Johnson going on a fine solo run down the right before striking a firm cross shot wide.
Bedworth were awarded a penalty for a tame challenge and Curvin Sanderson-Ellis netted with ease to give Dereham a mountain to climb.
