BISHOP’S STORTFORD moved two points clear at the top of the table as Frankie Merrifield’s goal was the difference against Hastings United.
The large crowd were treated to a fairly even game.
The home side were awarded the first big chance of the afternoon.
The Stortford backline misjudged a bounce which allowed Jake Hull to run through, But his half-volley was drilled straight at Stortford custodian Jack Giddens.
