THE home side were looking to bounce back from a poor performance against Prescot Cables.
However, they got off to the worst possible start when they conceded a goal within 50 seconds from a corner as Neil Danns scored for Macclesfield.
Not much to note happened then, with some half chances, as the Silkmen went into half-time one to the good.
