■COLNE went down to defeat at the hands of 
Prescot Cables despite a promising start.
The Reds almost led in the first minute when the Cables keeper spilled the ball and Owen Watkinson hit the bar.
Four minutes later Colne came close again when Jack Doherty saw his chip over the keeper clip the top of the bar.
But the Reds went down to ten men when Watkinson was sent off for his second yellow. Cables took the lead after 42 minutes with a shot by Kyle Sambor through a crowded penalty area.
