Injury-ravaged Gateshead were no match for high-flying Woking, who will be disappointed not to have won by a greater margin on Tyneside.
Victory took the Cards into the final play-off spot as only a second defeat in eight games saw Gateshead slip back into the relegation zone ahead of Tuesday’s trip to fellow strugglers Scunthorpe.
