MICKLEOVER made it back-to-back wins with a comfortable win.
Despite an inconsistent start to the campaign that had seen them only win once at home, the hosts started brightly as a close-range effort went just wide and Rhys Dolan hit the post after jinking in from the left.
Danger-man Andy Dales had a fizzing strike tipped over by Diamonds keeper Dean Snedker, and the visitors then came close as Jenson Cooper’s lob from distance dropped narrowly past the post.
