CLITHEROE 7 NEWCASTLE TOWN 1

CLITHEROE romped nto a big win over Newcastle Town with five of their goals coming in the last 20 minutes.
They led 2-0 with goals from Sefton Gonzales and Max Cale but after the visitors pulled the game back to 2-1 through Oliver Ritchie, the game exploded.
There were hat-tricks for the outstanding Gon- zales – whose third goal came from the penaty spot – as well as Max Cane. Danny Wilkins also got in on the goalscoring act for Clitheroe.
It was all the more surprising because Newcastle had been content to soak up pressure...
