ASHFORD United went joint top of the South East Division with a deserved derby win at Sittingbourne.
The visitors deservedly led at the break after George Nikaj netted twice, bundling home the first from a corner before sweeping home the second after a fine move.
It would have been even worse for the home side had Matt Cafer not brilliantly tipped a header onto the bar.
Sittingbourne grabbed a lifeline when Donvieve Jones scored his sixth of the season before the break but early in the second half a great strike from Gil Carvalho sealed it.
