BURY Town eased past Maldon with Lee Watkins’ stunner the highlight.
The first half was an open and even contest with both having chances to score.
After 13 minutes, Bury had a free-kick taken by Carlos Edwards saved well by Tom Middlehurst. Maldon then had a great chance after 18 minutes when Harvey Sayer saw his shot saved equally well by Charlie Woods.
Bury upped the ante in the second half and saw much more of the attacking play and after 65 minutes a defensive error let in Cemal Ramadan who lifted the ball over the goalkeeper.
