■ NEWCASTLE Town took the points in a hardfought away win against City of Liverpool.
Newcastle Town opened the scoring after just 20 seconds, Nathan Morley marauding down the left and standing up a cross for Jacob Lovett to nod home unmarked at the back post.
City of Liverpool got their equaliser after 35 minutes. Louis Corrigan’s whipped cross-shot from the right was pushed out by Joe Slinn but Adam Hughes was first to the rebound to smash the ball in.
