■LONG Eaton United failed to make possession count  on Saturday afternoon as they fell to defeat at home to a regalvanised Grimsby Borough.
Grimsby took the lead midway through the first half when Adam Drury capitalised on a quick counterattack to sidefoot past Sam Wilson.
Moments into the second half, Danny Gordon smashed a venomous half-volley from the edge of the box to level.
Grimsby regained their advantage in the 59th minute, after a defensive mix-up allowed Jack Barlow to tap in.
