■ MANAGERLESS Consett came within five minutes of ending their eight-game winless streak against Grantham Town but had to settle for a draw.
Defender Ashton Hall headed Grantham in front from a right-wing corner after 14 minutes, but Zak Atkinson levelled six minutes into the second half, volleying in from debutant Josh Baggs’s cross. After 74 minutes Consett took the lead when Kieren Aplin’s pinpoint cross was headed in from a few yards by Atkinson for his eighth goal of the season.
