ENFIELD Town solidified their hold on a top-five spot with a 3-1 win in a niggly game at one of the league’s in-form sides, Carshalton.
Nine bookings and four goals may suggest a riveting game, but it was anything but as a couple of home howlers decided a generally drab affair.
Seven minutes in and with the first attack of any note from either side, Sam Youngs opened the scoring for Enfield, stealing in front of a napping Carshalton defence to convert Lyle Della-Verde’s cross.
