BECKENHAM edged their nfirst meeting with Sittingbourne in more than 30 years on a day of bizarre goals.
Beckenham’s opener was a corner that hit the far post but the officials awarded a ‘goal’. Both keepers then pulled off fine saves with Matt Cafer brilliantly denying Louis Theophanous and Nathan Boamah keeping out Correy Davidson’s corner. Just before the break, Matt Warren’s header from a corner somehow found its way into the visitors’ net.
