PRESCOT CABLES took nall three points after producing a dogged performance at Hanley Town.
John Murphy scored what turned out to be the decisive goal in the 71st minute, heading home Declan Daniels’ cross.
The first half was a fairly open affair with both sides creating chances. Daniels had Cables’ best moment, heading James Edgar’s free-kick against the bar. James Hammill was also excellent at left back, driving Hanley deeper and deeper into their own half.
