BASINGSTOKE prevailed nin an entertaining encounter against Tooting & Mitcham.
Youngster Brody Peart scored his first senior goal for Basingstoke, shooting low from 20 yards after 15 minutes.
The visitors picked their way through the ’Stoke midfield for Eddie Mbango to volley home from close range, but Peart’s day got better as he charged down a clearance from James Shaw and dispatched the ball into the empty net.
Shaw pulled off a stunning save to deny Sam Argent, but Brad Wilson replied with six minutes to go.
