A battling performance from Hebburn proved in vain as fellow play-off chasers Stocksbridge emerged victors.
Ify Ofoegbu gave the Steels an early lead after lobbing Shaun Newbrook at closerange.
Hebburn’s best chance in the first half came towards the end, when Olly Martin stepped up to swing a close free-kick past the post. Tom Devitt headed a set piece wide after half time, before Stocksbridge got a second when Lewis Macskill’s strike was rebounded to Charlie Oglesby for an easy finish.
