YATE finally edged a high-scoring basement battle which proved why both clubs’ defences have struggled so far this season.
Daniel Wooden headed in from close range to put the visitors in front inside the first minute but Yate were soon level when Kyle Tooze swivelled neatly on an Alex Lambert cross before crashing the ball past Albert White.
