ON-SONG Barwell deservedly claimed the derby bragging rights and prevented high-flying Nuneaton from moving level on points at the top of the table.
The Canaries started brightly with a vital interception by Isaiah Osbourne and an overhit pass the only things to save Nuneaton from going behind.
The hosts would eventually get their goal through a bullet header from the unmarked Kyle Rowley at the near post.
