BASFORD UNITED returned to winning ways against Royston Town, with captain Matt Thornhill leading by example with a brace.
Tyreace Palmer put the hosts one up early on, before Thornhill buried a second into the top corner minutes later.
Alfie Williams pulled one back for the visitors, but Thornhill’s well-dispatched free-kick sealed maximum points.
