MAGIC MOMENTS: Oldham Athletic and Woking, inset, visit young patients at their local Childrens’ Ward

NON-LEAGUE clubs up and down the country have been spreading the Christmas cheer this week, providing festive moments to cherish for children and their families.

Oldham Athletic paid a visit to their local Childrens’ Ward after raising money towards their Toy Appeal. An estimated £5,000 worth of toys were collected and taken to the Salvation Army to donate to over 300 families that will face a tough Christmas this year.

Meanwhile, players and staff of Chester FC visited the Countess of Chester Hospital to deliver presents to the Children’s Ward after raising money for the Big Yellow Christmas Toy Appeal.

Woking raised a record breaking £4,000 to their Toy Appeal with manager Darren Sarll and his squad delivering gifts to the Royal Surrey County Hospital, Guildford.

And Macclesfield FC handed out special goody bags to the young patients during their annual visit to the children’s ward at Macclesfield Hospital.
