THE action started in a lively manner, when Leighton Thomas broke down the left side early on within the first two minutes.
The visitor’s striker took a shot from inside the area, and beat the keeper, but Harry Medway was on hand to clear the ball from the line to prevent an early lead.
Just before the quarter-hour mark, Harvey Rew was brought down in the penalty area, and the referee predictably pointed to the spot.
