■ STOCKSBRIDGE Park Steels took their chances as they beat Carlton Town at a drizzly Bracken Moor.
The first half was a dull one with very little attacking action. The only thing to raise a murmur from the crowd was Kyle Tomlin’s free-kick which curled onto the bar.
The goal to liven the game up finally came in the second half. The ball was whipped to Tomas Poole who didn’t get the best connection with his volley but it was enough to get it past the goalkeeper. Carlton pressed to find an equaliser and were unlucky as goalmouth scramb...
