IT’S SWIFT PROGRESS FOR WEST

GOALS in each half from Joel Swift and Darren McKnight secured West Didsbury & Chorlton their place in the last 16 of the FA Vase at the expense of Step 6 Horden CW.
The hosts showed their intent in the 28th minute as Kyle Perry found Ezeikel Esme, whose effort was saved by keeper Craig Foster.
The deadlock was broken two minutes later when Perry was judged to have been fouled inside the box. McKnight fired home from the penalty spot.
