EASTBOURNE Borough recorded their first win of 2023 overcoming bottom club Hungerford Town at Priory Lane.
Skipper Charlie Walker headed Sports in front on 11 minutes, converting a corner from new 17-yearold loan signing Alfie Bendle at the far post.
James Hammond made it 2-0 four minutes into the second half following a goalmouth scramble which the Crusaders struggled to deal.
Hungerford were handed a lifeline on 66 minutes when they were awarded a penalty follow a handball but Jake Evans’ effort was saved by Lee Worgan.
