MARINE were made to rue missed chances as a late Kielen Adams goal rescued a point for Ashton United.
In a frantic start, Robins goalkeeper Andre Mendes rush out of his penalty area and almost clattered into his own defender before eventually heading the ball into touch.
The Mariners continued to push in search of the opener through a succession of corners. Jonathan Spittle saw his header brilliantly cleared off the line by Dale Whitham.
Andrew Scarisbrick was next to go close, but saw his left footed effort denied by Mendes.
