WORKSOP Town took another step towards promotion with a win against Pontefract Collieries.
The first half had few clear cut chances, but both sides threatened to land the first punch with Allott and Hughes both turning down chances at goal.
The game’s first goal came from Josh Wilde, who drove forward from the centre circle, before releasing a venomous shot into the top corner.
