GOAL-GETTER Lewis Putman just knew the time had come to hang up his scoring boots after suffering a FOURTH serious knee injury.
The 31-year-old decided to call time on his colourful Non-League playing career this week after sustaining a suspected ACL and medial ligament damage playing for Southall against Uxbridge last Saturday.
“It’s one big injury too many for me,” Putman told The NLP. “As soon as it happened I knew that was it. I couldn’t go on through all that rehab again.”
