ASHLEY Charles’ first goal of the season inside the opening five minutes proved to be decisive in this clash of two play-off pushers as Wealdstone moved level on points with seventh-placed Southend United.
Charles struck coolly into the bottom corner after impressive debutant Brooklyn Ilunga had slalomed his way into the Dagenham penalty area.
