MATLOCK manager Martin Caruthers pulled off a masterstroke to secure a Matlock victory in an open affair at Causeway Lane.
Both sides lost key players during the week. Defender Ryan Qualter left Matlock for Scarborough Athletic, while United’s top scorer Regan Linney moved to Altrincham.
