WINCHESTER City came back from two down at the interval to earn a point with both their goals coming as a result of long throws from Pip Nolan.
Merthyr’s Thomas Handley was not far off target with a free-kick before the visitors struck twice just before the break.
Ricardo Rees fired home the opener in the 35th minute before Lewis Powell, the latter coming on as substitute early in the game, struck in the 40th minute.
Between the goals, Winchester keeper Jordi Valero made a good save from Tom Handley.
