PONTEFRACT Collieries missed the chance to close in on the top five as they were made to settle for a point after a goalless draw at Shildon.
Joe Posthill went close for the home side inside 15 minutes, while Pontefract threatened to break the deadlock through Gavin Allott around the halfhour mark.
Billy Greulich-Smith and Michael Sweet had efforts for Shildon in the second-half, with the latter of the two firing inches wide of the far post late in the game.
