JERSEY Bulls have pulled out of the Combined Counties Premier League Cup for financial reasons.
The Premier South promotion chasers were due to visit Holyport in the last 16 on Tuesday but have forfeited the game.
The Bulls uniquely have to pay for the travel expenses of visiting teams, along with their own, every time they visit the mainland.
CEO Ian Horswell said: “We need to be pragmatic with our finances. We set a travel budget at the start of the season and it is going to be exceeded.
